WALKING SAFE

Walking safe

Broadgate in the City of London is a very large and complex development where many Howe Green floor access covers have been installed in the buildings, in adjacent Liverpool Street Station and in the concourses. The purpose-made covers provide high performance access to underfloor services or have an unusual external function. The tree care programme, for example, required special multi-part covers to enhance the trees yet be easily removed to maintain the watering system and other pavement services.

The Howe Green covers are designed to be robust enough to resist the thousands of people who use Broadgate each day and strong enough to bear the weight of occasional vehicles. They are completely safe and trip-proof for the public, designed to be unobtrusive with only the stainless steel or brass showedges visible.

Because they meet such strict design and performance criteria, Howe Green access covers are now the preferred solution for all types of building and all types of application. The covers are used with any type of hard flooring or floorcovering. Purpose-made to fit any module or opening, they are available in single panels, continuous runs or multipart units. Covers are maintenance free, resistant to corrosion and double sealed to resist dirt, water and cleaning fluids. Showedges can be aluminium, brass, stainless steel or coloured pvc.
